| Greetings! Let me introduce myself, my name is Laurie Thompson. I live in a small town in Northwest Iowa. I have 5 wonderful children that range in age from 10 to 24. I work full time as a lab technician in a small rural hospital. After 23 years I still enjoy what I do, not many are fortunate enough to say that. I started in Chihuahuas as a small hobby breeder, then one night while I was watching a dog show on TV with my daughter, she decided she would like to try Junior showmanship. None of the Chihuahuas we had were show material so I started my search for one with some show experience and we went to watch a few local shows. My good friend Gail sold me my first show bitch already pointed. Unfortunately my daughter didn't find showing as much fun as I did. I have made some wonderful friends along the way and I look forward to making many more. Thank you Gail for selling Zoey to me and for being a great friend. I also need to thank my mentor and very special friend Max Hurd for all the advice and encouragement, also for letting me use your wonderful dogs to help me build a strong foundation to my breeding program. |
